Overview

(For educational purposes only)

The "Wolverine Stack" is a popular name given to the combination protocol of BPC-157, TB-500, Ipamorelin, and CJC-1295—four peptides known for their synergistic roles in tissue repair, recovery, and regeneration. This stack draws its nickname from the fast-healing superhero because users and practitioners believe it promotes robust recovery and rapid healing following injury, surgery, or intense training.[1][2][3]

Peptide Components and Mechanisms

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound)

BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a naturally occurring protective protein in the stomach. It has been shown to accelerate healing of tendons, ligaments, muscles, and nerves by stimulating blood vessel growth (angiogenesis), modulating nitric oxide synthesis, increasing fibroblast migration, and reducing inflammation. BPC-157 can target the site of injury, enable collagen formation, and foster regeneration of various tissue types.[2][4][5][1]

TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment)

TB-500 is the synthetic version of a region of thymosin beta-4, a protein linked with actin regulation. It promotes cell migration, reduces inflammation, and encourages tissue remodeling and repair. TB-500 works systemically, supporting healing throughout the body and aiding flexibility and recovery for muscles, soft tissue, and joints. It is often paired with BPC-157 for enhanced recovery benefits.[6][5][1][2]

Ipamorelin

Ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue that stimulates a pulsatile release of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland without significantly raising levels of other hormones like prolactin or cortisol. By increasing GH, Ipamorelin indirectly supports tissue repair, fat loss, lean muscle maintenance, and overall recovery, especially when used with CJC-1295 for optimized hormone patterns.[7][8][2]

CJC-1295

CJC-1295 is a modified growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog that causes a sustained increase in circulating GH and IGF-1 by prolonging GHRH’s half-life. When combined with Ipamorelin (which triggers GH pulses), CJC-1295 ensures both the amplitude and timing of GH release mimic the body’s natural rhythms. This can support muscle growth, facilitate metabolic repair, and enhance overall sleep and recovery.[9][10][2]

Typical Protocol and Synergy

A common Wolverine Stack protocol involves:

  • Morning: BPC-157 (400–1000 mcg) + TB-500 (300–1000 mcg), subcutaneous injection.

  • Evening: Ipamorelin (200–300 mcg) + CJC-1295 (200–300 mcg), subcutaneous injection, typically 30–60 minutes before bed.[8][9][2][7]

  • Cycle: 6–12 weeks depending on goals and response.

  • Administration: Morning peptides may be co-administered; evening peptides often combined in one injection.

  • Purpose: Daytime healing support; nighttime hormone-optimized recovery.[2][7]

Benefits

Reported and theorized benefits of the Wolverine Stack include:

  • Rapid healing of injuries (muscle strains, ligament/tendon tears, post-surgical repair)[10][3][1][2]

  • Reduced inflammation, swelling, and pain with improved joint/tissue flexibility[5][1]

  • Accelerated recovery from training and reduced muscle soreness

  • Improved sleep quality and fat metabolism (from optimized GH pulsatility)[9][2]

  • Enhanced tissue remodeling and long-term structural resilience

Important Considerations

  • Experimental Use: Most evidence remains preclinical or anecdotal, with limited robust human trials on stacking combinations.[11][5]

  • Safety: Monitor for adverse effects (injection reactions, water retention, joint pain) and use only under the supervision of a qualified medical provider.[8]

  • Sterility: Maintain strict sterile technique and use high-quality peptides to reduce infection risk.[7][2]

The Wolverine Stack is marketed and used in sports, regenerative medicine, and anti-aging clinics for people seeking robust recovery, rapid tissue repair, and the hormonal support to optimize healing. Ongoing research into each individual peptide continues to clarify its mechanisms and clinical relevance when combined. The "Wolverine Stack" is a popular peptide combination protocol designed to enhance soft tissue healing, accelerate recovery from injuries, and promote overall regeneration by leveraging the synergistic effects of four different peptides: BPC-157, TB-500, Ipamorelin, and CJC-1295. BPC-157 and TB-500 are often considered the foundation of this stack for localized and systemic repair, respectively—BPC-157 targets damaged tissue sites and accelerates tendon, ligament, and muscle regeneration, while TB-500 helps with cell migration, inflammation reduction, and broad tissue remodeling throughout the body.[3][1][5][2]

Added to this foundation are the growth hormone secretagogues CJC-1295 (a GHRH analog) and Ipamorelin (a selective GHRP), which together increase natural growth hormone and IGF-1 via both sustained and pulsatile release patterns—supporting muscle anabolism, reducing recovery times, and potentially improving sleep quality. Typical protocols call for daily morning administration of BPC-157 (400–1000 mcg) and TB-500 (300–1000 mcg), with CJC-1295 (200–300 mcg) and Ipamorelin (200–300 mcg) given together in the evening, subcutaneously.[9][2][7][8]

Athletes and clinics report that this combination can help close wounds faster, reduce swelling and pain, improve joint mobility, and shorten downtime after strains, sprains, or surgery. The full stack is most often cycled for 6–12 weeks and is used by those seeking a powerful boost to the body's self-healing mechanisms—though it is experimental, with limited human clinical data supporting the combined protocol to date. Proper sterile technique, medical oversight, and sourcing from reputable suppliers are essential for safety with these peptide stacks.[5][11][3][2][7][8]

Storage Instructions:

All of our manufacturing partners produce peptides using the Lyophilization (Freeze Drying) process, ensuring products maintain stability for shipping and storage for 6+ months.

Once peptides have been received, it is imperative that they are kept cold and away from light. If the peptides will be used immediately, or in the next several days, weeks or months, short-term refrigeration under 4°C (39°F) is generally acceptable. Lyophilized peptides are usually stable at room temperatures for several weeks or more, so if they will be utilized within weeks or months such storage is typically adequate.

However, for longer-term storage (several months to years) it is more preferable to store peptides in a freezer at -80°C (-112°F). When storing peptides for months or even years, freezing is optimal in order to preserve the peptide's stability.

Verifiable certificates

When obtaining research peptides, it is essential to validate the authenticity of the Certificate of Analysis (COA). Certificate fraud runs rampant throughout the research peptide supply community. The two most common forms are doctored images and stolen certificates. You can check for these two by making sure the third-party laboratory's website shows that the certificate belongs to the supplier and the values haven't been doctored. TrustPointe Analytics provides a few simple rules for verification:

When reviewing a COA, the first thing that should be done is to look for a way to verify that the COA is legitimate – either a link, key, or QR Code. That should take you to the laboratory’s website, not a third party website. If you follow the link and it does not take you to the laboratory’s website (URL), it is likely falsified. Finally, verify that the information on the COA provided matches the COA on the laboratory’s website. People who falsify COAs cannot access the laboratory’s website, so they are unable to alter the original COA.

Beware of fraudulent laboratories

Not only must one remain vigilant about potentially fraudulent certificates, one must also be aware that there are third-party laboratories whose results cannot be considered reliable or scientifically valid. Unfortunately, there is significant evidence to suggest that one of the most popular third-party testing labs does not use scientifically sound methodologies and, in some cases, has fabricated results. There isn't an easy remedy for this problem, but when labs are particularly bad, there tend to be a lot of discussion threads on various social platforms.

Interpreting Endotoxin Results (via TrustPointe)

Our friends at TrustPointe have provided the following detailed explanation to help interpret the results of the endotoxin testing.

We use the Charles River Endosafe PTS system to test for bacterial endotoxins following USP <85> guidelines:

  • USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxin Result: <x.xx EU/mL
Because it’s reported as “<x.xx” this indicates the test did not detect endotoxin above the detection limit of the cartridge.
  • If a result is above the limit of detection of the cartridge, it will be reported as a number (without the "<").

The following are suitability parameters that verify the system was working properly and the sample prep dilution is appropriate for accurate results. Peptides often interfere with endotoxin detection due to their tendency to bind or mask endotoxins, which can lead to inaccurate low results. To overcome this, samples are typically tested at a large dilution to reduce matrix interference and ensure reliable recovery and detection in compliance with USP <85>.  If the dilution is not correct, the run will fail suitability and we'll need to adjust the dilution to ensure accurate results. We provide the suitability data to customers for transparency and so they can be confident in the results.

USP <85> Sample CV %:

  • CV stands for coefficient of variation, a measure of repeatability.
  • For our lab, CV has to be <25% or the result to be considered valid

USP <85> Spike CV %:

  • This refers to the precision of the positive control (spiked sample).
  • Again, for our lab CV has to be <25% or the result to be considered valid

USP <85> Spike Recovery

  • This tells us how much of the known endotoxin spike was recovered from your sample.
  • The acceptable range is 50–200% per USP <85>
